Our Facilities

Northeastern Little League (NELL) plays our home games at Huff Park, located at the corner of Aberdeen St. and Ball Ave. in NE Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Field Renovations (Multi-Phase Project)
2024 was another strong year of investment and improvement in our fields. We have continued to maintain our fields with regular maintenance and yearly topdressing of field conditioner. This continued investment allows us to handle Michigan weather and keep the kids playing. Our Little League fields were updated with branded windscreens, including both the NELL logo and field names. Both fields received powder coated foul poles generously provided by Custom Powder & Fabricators.

We are thrilled to share the newest investment into our softball program. In late Fall and early Winter 2024, we installed new dugouts on Huff Green, We are nearly done with this project, Materials for the dugouts were provided by Eikenhout Inc, Outback Casual Living and Fence, and installed with volunteer labor from NELL Parent Business Owners at Hyde Construction and G2 Construction and volunteer labor from multiple NELL families. Concrete slabs were poured by Zemaitis Concrete.

Our next project planned to be completed for Spring 2025 is rebuilding our pitching mounds on all 3 NELL managed fields: North, South, Green.

We are incredibly grateful for the donations of financial resources and time from the NELL family and community businesses.

Baseball Fields - Huff North and Huff South (League Owned)
We are proud to offer two of the finest Little League fields in the area with full grass infields and outfields, automated irrigation systems and hand watering capabilities, covered dugouts w/ benches and bat racks, electronic scoreboards, and bleacher seats for spectators. Renovated in 2022, both fields feature infield conditioner on all infield skinned areas and are topdressed annually to ensure a safe, quality surface for play.

Divisions Played - Tee Ball, Minor 1 - Coach Pitch Baseball, Minor 2 - Kid Pitch Baseball, and Majors Baseball.

Softball Fields - Huff Green (League Controlled), Huff Yellow, Huff Blue (City Owned)
Huff Park boasts 3 softball fields featuring dirt infields, grassed outfields, enclosed dugouts, and bleacher seats for spectators. Huff Green is controlled and maintained by the league while Huff Yellow and Huff Blue are owned and operated by the City of Grands Rapids.

Huff Green will be renovated for play starting in Spring 2023 with addition of Field Conditioner, repegging of all base and mound distances, batter's box fortification, and a Dugout Construction project being planned.

70' Batting Cage w/ Pitching Machine
We are proud to offer a 70' Batting Cage that will be completely upgraded for the 2022 Season including all new netting, a 12'x6' DuraTurf batter's mat, protective pitching screen, and a brand new BATA Pitching Machine capable of throwing both baseballs and softballs.
